Pozzi wins British Indoor title

29th February 2016

Andrew Pozzi became the British Indoor Champion for 2016 on Saturday when he ran a seasons’ best time of 7.61 to win the final ahead of Lawrence Clarke (7.65) and David Omoregie.

“British Champion sounds excellent,” reflected Andrew. “That one was really hard for me, just in terms of preparation so I am absolutely delighted. To run a respectable time is even better.”

“I knew that Lawrence (Clarke) and the two David’s (Omoregie and King) were going to be really strong. It means a lot to me.”

“I have the qualifying time for World Indoor Champs but with it being Olympic year I am going to have a long chat with my coach and British Athletics to decide about Portland.”
